DHANI HARRISON WROTE THE SOUNDTRACK FOR THE NEW M.I.A DOCUMENTARY

The Stephen Loveridge directed film, Matangi/Maya/M.I.A, debuted at the Sundance Film Festival last weekend.

This past weekend, MATANGI / MAYA / M.I.A.—the long-awaited M.I.A. documentary—premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Recently, Variety shared a new poster for the film. The poster revealed that the movie was scored by Dhani Harrison and Paul Hicks (Dhani’s bandmate in Thenewno2).

Pitchfork has contacted representatives for Dhani Harrison and MATANGI / MAYA / M.I.A. for more information. The M.I.A. doc was directed by Stephen Loveridge. It was initially announced back in 2012 but was met with delays. Apparently, the first time M.I.A. saw the finished film was at this year’s Sundance.
