Ringo Starr and the All Starr Band is coming to the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena and officials from the organization said they are excited to welcome the rock star to the community.
Ringo will be hitting the stage on Tuesday, September 18.
The Southern Tier will be one of only 20 stops in the United States for the band’s tour this year.
“His tour dates and where he’s stopping before and after is in a lot of big cities,” said Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena General Manager, Chris Marion. “To have a stop here in Binghamton, we feel very fortunate that Magic City Productions decided to bring him to this building.”
Marion said the last time the arena brought in a famous performer was back in 2016 when James Taylor performed.
Marion said he hopes the upcoming concert will sell out tickets.
“As people know, we don’t always have a lot of big concerts here in the summer time, because all of the surrounding venues to get a lot of the big shows,” said Marion. “So, we’re really excited to have a show of this caliber here at the arena.”
